e-IOU trades on two kinds of exchanges. These exchanges match buyers and sellers in two ways. Firstly, an automated market maker (AMM), which trades against a liquidity pool, and secondly, order driven which uses an order book.
Bitcoin marketplaces require a self-custody wallet (see the Wallets page). You connect your wallet and can buy e-IOUs directly from the two exchange types listed below.
The links below are provided for convenience, not as an endorsement from Bitcredit Protocol. Always verify the exchange, and move tokens off centralised exchanges into a wallet you control once you're done buying or trading.
Automated market maker (AMM)
An AMM matches your trade against a liquidity pool. You always get a price and trades settle instantly.
Best in Slot: A one-stop hub for buying, swapping and tracking assets on Bitcoin.
Order driven
An order-driven exchange uses an order book. You set a buy or sell price, and it fills when a matching order appears.
Unisat: The first and leading marketplace for buying and selling assets on Bitcoin.
Set up a wallet. You need a self-custody Bitcoin wallet that supports BRC-20 tokens. See the Wallets page.
Fund it with Bitcoin. Send BTC to cover your purchase and network fees.
Connect to an exchange. Open Best in Slot or UniSat and connect your wallet. You keep your keys throughout.
Buy e-IOU. Search for e-IOU. Swap instantly on Best in Slot, or set a price on UniSat.
Confirm and hold. Approve the transaction. Once it settles on Bitcoin, the tokens sit in a wallet you control.
